We are Jen and David, the creators behind "Unplanned Ventures".
We strive to make the best homemade products, from our door to yours that will fit perfectly in any home and anywhere! From organizer dishes, wristlet keychains, tote bags, embroidered patches, to many more unplanned products, we want to bring you affordable, usable, and memorable homemade products that you will enjoy!
We have been happily married since 2020, right here in Michigan, USA. We love to craft in our spare time. David loves woodworking. He learned from his dad. Jen loves everything crafty from sewing, embroidery (machine and cross-stich), to card making, scrapbooking, knitting and crocheting. The ideas are endless! Jen learned most of her crafty skills as a Girl Scout, through friends and family, and other wonderful crafters/makers she's met a long the way.
We love to travel (via RV, Cruise, walking, biking, off-roading) when we get the chance to get away from our "9-5's" day jobs. We often end up not following "Plan A" but we're usually on "Plan B or Z" in any adventure that we get up to whether it's at home or away. Thus, we came up with our company name, "Unplanned Ventures", where we'll not only bring you the best homemade products but also the best of our creative adventurous selves.
A little bit about our logo, David loves any shade of blue, especially, turquoise blue, and Jen loves any shade of purple, so our brand colors was an easy choice. These colors also happen to be our wedding colors. We set our logo on the backdrop of a mountainous landscape with "roads less traveled" as we love off-roading and traveling to new places. The white lines are the roads, or they could also be a "sign post". Each mountain represents our family; Jen and David, along with our 2 cats and a dog; Felicity, (cat, age 8), Willys (cat, age 6), and Ziggy (dog, age 5). The circle could represent the moon or the sun, as we like to travel and explore as often as we can at anytime that we can!
